Abbey and Botanic Gardens of Valloires
The splendid Abbey and Botanic Gardens of Valloires are located 5 minutes away from Le Clos du Moulin. Founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks, the Abbey was rebuilt in the 18th century. The Gardens were designed by Gilles Clement and stretch over 8 hectares. They comprise a unique collection of 5,000 species and varieties of plants grouped in themed areas: rose garden, marsh garden, sense garden, medicinal plants, the Garden of Evolution, etc.
